So yesterday I did the ‘tourist’ thing and went to Goathland with a very good friend (who started as a guest!). We had a wander round the village, watched the steam train come and go and called in at the pub The Goathland Hotel (aka Aidensfield Arms) We had lunch, which was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend.
We also had the pleasure of meeting and speaking to this wonderful lady, Tricia Penrose (aka Gina Ward from Heartbeat). She and her business partners are developing the pub and have some wonderful plans for its future.

A very Merry Christmas to all our guests, friends, family and the ones who were guests who are now friends. Thank you for making 2025 a great year and we’re looking forward to doing it all again with you in 2026. (Mind you, I’ll need to get the tree out first as there’s not much space in the dining room 🤣)
