Morning all, we were down at St Bees Beach this morning for a coffee & a bite to eat at the newly refurbished Beach Road Bakehouse. The food was great and the cafe has lots more local items to buy like books, Coast 2 Coast info and provisions for your holiday (especially for the young ones). The photos never do the place justice but it was breezy and glorious today. 😎

A couple of reviews from recent guests.. it's great to get positive feedback about our cosy little place. We luv it and it's great to think other people do to. 🥰 one of these reviews was from a lovely young couple who actually got engaged while they were here, how fantastic is that.! Hi all, our page has been a bit quiet of late, we have been on holiday and then straight back into work...we are almost fully booked for August and September which is great news.! All our hard work is paying off thanks to Booking.com. The photos below were taken this morning on one of my bike rides. You can go out of the village and straight into beautiful countryside like this. I did a 15 mile loop this morning, the weather was fabulous.! If you don't have a bike you can hire them locally plus E-bikes, we'll worth it i would say.

This was the edge of Bassenthwaite Lake on Fri night @ 21.30 hrs...absolutely amazing.! We shared a glass of wine and just sat there for an hour enjoying the beautiful scenery. This could be you when you stay at our apartment, all this and more is within easy reach.

We popped out on Fri night for some dinner at one of our Guest Book recommendations, The Pheasant Inn in Bassenthwaite. We love it for a few reasons, the food being one obviously. The beer garden is fantastic, it's easy to get too (about 40 mins), and it's where myself and Donna had our first date 😄.. It was a beautiful night as you can see and we dropped off at Bassenthwaite Lake before setting off home....

Hi all,
Just a quick update. We had two lovely couples in our apartment over the last week so I thought i would share there reviews. As off today, Donna tells me we are fully booked until mid August 🥳 which is fantastic news.! We thought long and hard about our refurb of No6 and it's fabulous that our guests are loving all our hard work. After all, we did put them first and still do. 🥰

🍾👏🥳🥳 Great day for sport yesterday. The British Lions hammered their first Aussie opponents, Wigan beat Castleford and the England U21s became Champions of Europe beating Germany 3 - 2 in extra time... All watched from the comfort of a front row seat in our fabulous village pub the Dog & Partridge. 🍺 🍻

Hi folks,
Just a quick update. We have now joined Booking.com, so I thought we would share the page and name you will find us under. See below. "Tranquil Lake District Village Apartment" is our name. Our latest guests left this morning and this was there lovely review. We are chuffed with that, because we spent a lot of time & effort getting the basics right for our guests and a great shower was one of them. It's a walk in power shower with loads of hot water to warm you up after a day's walking in the Lakes 🏕🧗‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏊‍♂️☔️🌬.
The mountain photo is the view from one of the benches in the beer garden of the Kirkstile Inn Loweswater. It's one of our recommendations for food in our Welcome book. We have never had a bad meal there and the staff are fantastic.!
