First visitors of the season tomorrow. A wonderful couple too! From then, it is almost solid till then end of September, with only a few odd weeks remaining available. Just wish the weather would buck up a bit.

Spring has sprung. Yellow stars of Celandines dotting the lake field, trees beginning to go green, water lily leaves almost breaking the surface and the first Marsh Marigold in flower. Also, our first visitors to the cottage arrive at the weekend. Unfortunately, the next people can't come till the Monday instead of Saturday - the dreaded English - but after that it is all systems go. The cottage is still under the spartan Covid conditions, but the setting hasn't changed!

About 3 years ago, following a lake survey, Peter cleared the back banking which was covered in scrub & brambles. Now it is a haven for all sorts of wild flowers and a joy to look at.
