Springfield Hotel – Children & Family Policy
We want to make it clear that children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times while on the premises.
This means children must remain in the same room or area as the accompanying adult and must not be left to wander around the pub unaccompanied.
Unfortunately, we have recently experienced damage to the pub, including graffiti, broken items and property being moved from areas where it does not belong. To help prevent this happening again, the following rules apply with immediate effect:
- Children must remain with and be supervised by an adult at all times.
- The kitchen is strictly out of bounds to children.
- The function room is strictly out of bounds unless being used as part of an organised event.
- Children must not enter staff-only or restricted areas.
- Items, equipment or property belonging in restricted areas must not be removed or taken elsewhere in the pub.
- Any damage to Springfield Hotel property caused by a child will be the responsibility of the accompanying adult, and the appropriate adult may be required to cover the cost of repair or replacement.
We want to stress that children and families are very welcome at the Springfield Hotel, and we are proud to be a local community pub. We also welcome well-behaved animals.
However, this is a community pub, and we cannot continue to absorb the cost of damage or disruption caused by unsupervised children.
We appreciate your cooperation and ask all parents and accompanying adults to help us keep the Springfield Hotel a safe, welcoming and enjoyable place for everyone.
Kind regards,
The Springfield Team
