One of the loveliest comments we received on our recent Reel came from owners who first discovered Skiddaw View as holiday guests:
“It’s a beautiful park. We had been renting a lodge every year for the last 13 or so years as we love it so much, but last year we decided to buy a caravan on the site—and we love it.
The views from the caravans and lodges are spectacular, and the site is so quiet and relaxing. We would recommend it to anyone.”

⚓ MARYPORT TRAWLER RACE AND RESCUE FUN WEEKEND
Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August at Maryport Harbour, featuring the trawler race, dog show, live music, emergency services and family entertainment. The fun begins at 10:00 am each day.

🐑 KESWICK AGRICULTURAL SHOW
Bank Holiday Monday, 31 August, at the showfield near Braithwaite. Expect horses, sheep, dogs, Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling, the Barrow Fell Race and local agricultural competitions.

This Wednesday 19th August, some of the world’s best female cyclists will be racing through our local area as part of the opening stage of the Tour of Britain Women.
The race starts and finishes in Cockermouth, taking in a fantastic 158.9km route through Cumberland, including Silloth and Wigton.
If you’re staying with us, it’s a great opportunity to head out, find a good viewing spot and cheer the riders on! 🚴‍♀️👏
