The photos or description do not do this
place justice. It's so beautiful, has amazing
amenities and Claire and Paul were
fantastic. We had a long journey up, and
were a lot later than anticipated, but Paul
was there to great us with a smile on his
face. For the duration of the stay they
made us feel welcome, giving us food to
feed the sheep and making us aware of
local events happening that day. The
sports barn, play area and toys/books/
games/DVDs to borrow were brilliant. The
highlight of this holiday was the pool;
lovely and warm, and being able to book it
all for ourselves was such a great
experience for US and our girls. Our little
girl even learned to swim this weekend.
This is certainly a holiday we will never
forget, and we hope to be back very soon,
even with a 5 hour car journey to get here!

Something a bit different today.

Fancy trying your hand at willow weaving or a day of foraging, forest bathing, navigating the beautiful Galloway Hills? These are just a few of the activities/experiences on offer through Way of the Wild.

Mum and I recently spent a lovely day learning how to weave willow. Set in the magnificent Sorbie Tower, less than a 20 min drive from Courtyard Cottages, we enjoyed a tour of the grounds and Tower followed by a really enjoyable taster willow weaving session led by the lovely, very patient Christy. (And boy did we test that patience 🤣)
