FINALLY we get some cloud and well overdue rain, which means one thing... dramatic light, rainbows and/or storm clouds 😮‍💨

Personally, I always get excited when I check the weather forecast and see a sudden change of conditions, whether that's pressure, clouds, wind, precipitation, it means something exciting could happen 🤞🏻

That's why after a pretty disappointing forecast for fog at sunrise didn't materialise, we headed back out in the afternoon and sunset, and wow was it worth it 😍

After setting up this composition about an hour before, I kept glancing at the gap in the sky behind the trees and thought "how epic would it be if the sun pokes through for a few seconds" 👀

Thankfully it did, and we got the last 5 minutes of golden sunset light hitting Horton Tower to give us a little thank you for our efforts in chasing the weather that day 😃

After my little moan about the weather forecast being completely wrong for yesterday morning, I promised my client that we would meet up again for sunset and trust it one more time... safe to say, that was a VERY good call as it was absolutely BONKERS 😍

We arrived to Horton Tower in flat light, blue sky turning to grey, yet I trusted the apps when they suggested storm fronts rolling in from the South - perfect, whenever we get dramatic or changing weather, it's the best time to be out with the camera, as something is almost guaranteed to happen!

What followed was the last 10 minutes of golden hour light (I'll share that picture tomorrow) which usually is my favourite type of landscape to photograph. Shadows, last light on the tower, what more could you want 👀

Well, it turns out, the sky had a lot more in store for us!!! After about 15 minutes the colour exploded over the tower, we repositioned to face the best display of colour, and stood there jumping up and down in excitement!!!

The 04:00 alarm and lack of sleep was worth it, we finally had an excuse to take the cameras out the bag 😂
