She didn't check her phone once. Not until the second coffee.

The first one was for the woodland. Hands wrapped around a warm mug, bare feet in the grass, the dawn chorus doing its thing somewhere in the canopy above. 🌲

Steam curling into dappled light. A breeze moving through the leaves. No notifications. No agenda. Just the quiet hum of a morning that asks nothing of you.

This is what our glamping options were built for. King beds inside, private firepits out front, electricity for the small comforts. The kind of setup that lets you stop pretending to rest and actually do it.

Summer 2026 dates filling fast! Bring the kids and let them enjoy the freedom - making new friends, swimming, exploring. Rivendell Park is where families learn to be just that again ❤

Most parks ban campfires. We banned cars instead. 🌲

It sounds like a quirky inconvenience at first. You park up at the edge, unload your things, and start the slow walk in. Then something shifts.

No engines idling. No doors slamming. No tyres on gravel. Just the dawn chorus, the rustle of leaves, footsteps on soft woodland paths, children playing. The kind of peace you forgot existed.

That's the whole point. Because we love this little patch of woodland, and we love the people who come to stay in it, we keep the vehicles out so the wildlife (and your nervous system) can settle in.

By the second evening, you'll be relaxing by the fire pit and noticing things you haven't heard in years. An owl. The crackle of logs. Your own thoughts, finally unhurried.

Summer 2026 stays are filling fast! Come and experience the peace for yourself.

The tent's up. The kettle's on. The kids are so happy! ☀

There's a moment, right after you've pitched camp, when everything settles. Shoulders drop. Phones forget themselves. The woodland does that thing where it seems to lean in closer.

Soft light through the trees. The evening BBQ slowly sorting itself out.

This is the bit no one tells you about camping. Not the packing, not the pitching. The arriving.

Summer 2026 pitches moving fast Rivendell Park! We now offer 1-night options for camping. Come and join us in this magical woodland this summer!

She arrived with a tight neck and a to-do list running in her head. An hour later, she had neither.

That's the thing about yoga in the woodland. The trees do half the work for you. Birdsong instead of a playlist. Filtered green light instead of strip bulbs. The smell of warm pine drifting through the open sides of the stretch tent.

Louise is back on the 27th June with an energising morning woodland yoga session. If you are staying with us during this weekend and want to book go here: https://bookwhen.com/soulflightyoga

Picture it: dawn light filtering through the oaks, a kettle starting to whistle, woodpigeons calling from the canopy. Where are you in that scene? Crouched over a single-burner stove, or stretching out on a proper bed in a safari tent while someone else lights the fire pit?

That question matters more than the price difference.

After thousands of arrivals across our camping pitches, woodland bell tents, and fully-kitted safari tents, we've noticed something. The guests who love their stay aren't the ones who booked the fanciest option. They're the ones who booked the option that matches how they actually like to holiday.

Four things worth thinking about before you choose:

What's actually included (camping means you bring most of it, safari tents come with beds, bedding, kitchen kit and a wood burner)
How much cooking you genuinely want to do on holiday
Who's in your group and what they'll need to feel settled
Your honest comfort threshold when it rains for two days straight 🌿

Bare-bones camping suits people who want the woodland unfiltered. Bell tents work beautifully for couples and small families who want a soft landing without too much fuss. Safari tents are for groups who want the firepit-and-stars experience with a real mattress and a proper morning shower.

None is better. They're just different doors into the same woodland.

Summer 2026 dates are live. Have a think about which version of you is going on this holiday, then come and find us.

You've booked the bell tent. The bags are packed. You arrive, breathe in the woodland air... and realise you've forgotten the one thing that would have made the first night perfect. 🏕️

It happens to almost every first-time glamper. The big stuff is sorted for you. It's the small, unglamorous bits that catch people out.

So before your 2026 break, we've pulled together the three things our guests most often wish they'd brought. Quick swipe through the slides and you'll be set.

A two-minute check of your inclusions list at home saves a lot of scrambling when you get here. Promise.

The deer were out again at 5:47am this morning, just past the treeline near the pitches. 🌿

June has properly arrived in the Dorset countryside, and the woodland is at its most alive right now. Everything is green in that particular way it only gets for a few weeks a year.

Here's what a summer stay with us actually feels like: long evenings that stretch past nine, warm enough for a firepit, cool enough under the trees to actually sleep. The heated pool is up and running. The early mornings belong to the deer and whoever's brave enough to put the kettle on first.

If you're arriving over the next few weeks, a few small things worth knowing. Pack lighter layers than you'd think for evenings. Bring proper shoes for the woodland walks. And give yourself a slow first morning, Rivendell Park rewards people who don't rush it.

We've still got availability across camping, woodland camping, and the glamping pitches through June and July. If you've been thinking about it, this is the window.

See you in the trees!
