We’re delighted to be teaming up with Goffs Brewery and their Cheltenham Gold, a lovely local beer to enjoy at home or in the garden.

During your stay, make a visit to their tap room at 9 Isbourne Way, Winchcombe, GL54 5NS, open Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays. Expect great beer, a welcoming atmosphere and great pop-up food to enjoy alongside it.

There’s something so special about preloved furniture. The stories, the memories, the life it’s already lived. No 61 has so many beautiful pieces that have been given a second life.

The drawers and mirror in the garden bedroom were gently restored with frenchic paint and a wax finish, bringing them back to life in the soft, classic style of No61. The blue‑and‑white plates were found in charity shops, each one chosen because it had a little charm about it. They now make up a beautiful statement wall, full of character.

And the antique pine chest of drawers in the master bedroom has been with me since I was 12! It was my teenage dressing table, full of 80s outfits and makeup, and it stayed in my family right up until it found a new home in No61. Even now, when the brass handles rattle, it takes me straight back to getting ready for parties in my teens.

Quality antique furniture never dates. It just waits for the right place to shine again.

It’s always difficult keeping on top of maintenance when we are booked up with guests, but we had a garden makeover today at No61 and we love it!

We created Feather Cotswold Cottages and we are hands on when it comes to looking after them. This means we notice things that need attention and we work hard to keep the cottages in tip top condition all the time, even when we are really busy!

☀️ Top Tips for Staying Cool in the Cotswolds…

Here are some top tips for staying cool in the Cotswolds this week… because the heatwave is doing its absolute most and we’re all just trying not to melt ☀️🧊

🍻 Retreat to a shady pub garden
The Lion Inn is a great option, and with plenty of shade and cold drinks, you could just stay there all afternoon.

🚶‍♀️ Walk early or late
The Cotswold footpaths are far kinder at sunrise or golden hour. Cooler, quieter, and much more forgiving when the sun is doing the most.

🍦 Cool down with a local ice cream
Winchcombe has plenty of places serving ice cream. Some examples are The Tipsy Egg, the Winchcombe Museum, and Hayles Fruit Farm. Staying cool has never been so delicious.

🌿 Find the shady corners
Settle into the shade in the gorgeous gardens. Blooming flowers and cool air make for the perfect escape from the heat.
