Exciting to see a new local craft beer venue opening in Ambleside, this May. Near the little house on the bridge, local business man Colin Monk will create 20 new jobs. The food offers also sounds great, stretched pizzas and gourmet burgers, and the central feature will be six x 1000 pint copper tanks displayed above the bar.

Beatrix decided to run the farm herself with the help of shepherd George Walker. Beatrix used the farm as a setting for the Fairy Caravan stories and some of her writing was done in a little study at the farm.
