The Lamplighter Dining ~ Rooms is located in the heart of Windermere Village, The Lake District. This charming Victorian building is part of Lakeland’s heritage. The hotel offers comfortable accommodation with a total of 9 bedrooms the majority of which have en-suite facilities as well as our four poster room set in a relaxed warm and friendly atmosphere. The Lamplighter Dining ~ Rooms offers the very best in accommodation in the Lake District. With all of the guests bedrooms recently refurbished, we have been sympathetic to the Victorian heritage of this traditional Lakeland stone building dating back to 1865. The Lamplighter is a family run hotel and as such has a cosy and welcoming feel that sets us aside from many Lake District Hotels with personal levels of customer service delivered in an unobtrusive manner. Located in the heart of the accommodation hub that is the Lake District, Windermere village offers a slightly quieter and more refined pace. Aptly named the gateway to The Lake District it is the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding area. Only a short walk from Lake Windermere and 2 minutes from Windermere Station we are set back slightly from the main village with only a minute or so walk to the local shops.
