Broadlands Guest House is a traditional Lakeland Stone built Victorian Guest House, situated in a quiet but convenient location in Windermere, the heart of the Lake District. It is owned and run by Tracey Wilson and Trac'e Preston. The house is immaculatley decorated and spotles

sly clean. The five ensuite rooms are comfortably furnished. Freshly cooked breakfasts are served in the airy dining room and we use as much local produce as is possible. We are happy to cater for special diets with previous notice. Special breaks are often available for those who are able to stay for 3 nights or more. The Lake District is a beautiful place to visit in any season and we look forward to welcoming you to our home. BEDROOMS
All five rooms are ensuite with shower,freshly decorated with soft furnishings. The rooms all feature LCD flat screen TVs, radio alarm clocks,hairdryers, well stocked hospitality trays,complimentary toiletries and other odds and ends to make your stay comfortable. The house has lovely views overlooking Ellethwaite Park and is ideally located for public transport. The local open topped bus can be caught from the top of the road and the train and coach station is a 10 minute walk away. There are all grades of walks which can be started from the house and we are happy to provide maps and guides to help. Local organised tours can also be arranged for you with collection and drop off at the property. Free WI-FI is available throughout the Guest House

Travelling By Rail Windermere train station is a 500m walk from Broadlands (as can be seen on the map). Changing at Oxenholme, there are frequent services to the North and South. Check train times Travelling By Car From the South: Leave the M6 motorway at junction 36 and follow the A591 to Windermere. When you reach the village turn left where it says 'Town Centre'into Victoria Street. Follow the one way system to the end and take the first turning on the left after the pedestrian crossing, into 'Broad Street'. Broadlands is about 100 metres on the left. Parking on the road opposite Broadlands or further on the right there is a car park. From the North: Leave the M6 motorway at junction 40 and follow the A66 in the direction of Keswick. After about 1 mile turn left at a roundabout towards Windermere, follow the signs to Windermere passing alongside Ullswater and through Glennridding then over the Kirkstone Pass and down into Windermere. You will reach the A1951 at a mini-roundabout. Turn left. After about half a mile turn right into Windermere and follow the one way system as above. Travelling By Coach Regular coach services operate to Windermere Bus Station from all parts of the UK. Check timetables and buy coach tickets online

The Lake District is a beautiful part of the world just waiting to be explored. There are activities to suit all types from gentle walks along country lanes to strenuous hikes, Lake cruises, organised tours, off roading, cycling to mention just a few things that can be enjoyed. Many walks can started from Broadlands, Orrest Head, School Knott, Brantfell, Millerground and Sherrifs Wood to name a few.
