Team Hideaway are absolutely delighted to have won the award of The AA Friendliest B&B of the Year 2022. We are extremely proud of our Amazing Team who work so hard and keep smiling 😊 each & everyday.
Double Big ups to our Team who are....Barbara, Magda & Alice from our FOH and Housekeeping Teams, who keep our Bedrooms Tip Top and ensuites Sparkling. 👍
Arturo, our Main Man in the Kitchen who produces our award-winning breakfasts and bakes all our Delicious Home-Made cakes.👍
Finally, John who runs our reception & looks after our Guests throughout their entire Hideaway Journey. 👍
Without all their hard work and determination this would not have been possible, we are extremely grateful, thank you.

Hello to all of our Hideawayer’s! Once again, we find ourselves looking to welcome our Hideaway friends for that magical time of year once we’ve seen the Autumnal Colours come and go! We have also now finalised our dates and can confirm our tariffs for the Festive Season and New Year Celebrations. 💝🎅🍰⛄💝🎉
We are open for room bookings during the festive season in Windermere (from 27th December to 2nd January), and should you like any further details regarding Twixmas or New Year at The Hideaway please don’t hesitate to call us on 01539 443 070, or visit our website.
We still have availability throughout September, October, and into November, & we are quietly confident for an Indian Summer!

We are in the process of updating our current Covid-19 welcome information and procedure's whilst staying at The Hideaway and will be publishing these very soon....

Dear Hideaway Friends,

We very much hope that this finds you and your family safe and well in Lockdown #3.0. As this will be the first time we have not been able to welcome Hideaway Valentiner's, we wanted to send our Good Wishes. 😍💖😍💖

We and Team Hideaway are all keeping safe & well. We have had various levels of Snow here, and hope you have all managed to practise your Snowman building too! We are waiting patiently to hear the Government Updates later in February, which will hopefully give some indication as to when we may be able to reopen. For now, it is important that we all keep safe, & we send our thanks to all those working on the Front Line.

We have had amazing support in July & August, and it has been wonderful to welcome Hideawayer's back to The Hideaway! Whilst a staycation is good for the soul, most importantly, we have been focusing on maintaining a Covid Safe environment.
We have had wonderful feedback, telling us that the balance of 'relaxation and safety' felt just right. We would like to thank everyone for their support this Summer. You can read some of the lovely comments here & we hope to welcome more Staycationers safely in the coming months.

Wow, what a day! Our first day back in action! Here we are modelling our Social Distancing Car Park Cones...just before our lovely Hideaway Guests started to arrive. We are very excited to be re-opening on 10th July. Our Risk Assessment is complete & we have compiled our Safety Measures to minimise the risk of Covid-19 to everyone. We have changed & adapted as unobtrusively as possible, so that you can continue to enjoy your stay safely.

We ask for your patience as we deal with these unprecedented times, with a reduced team, & there may be a delay in us getting back to you. May we please ask you to make your booking online via the Check Availability Button; this will really help us to speedily process bookings, whilst allowing us to get ready for 10th July.

We have been busy making plans on how The Hideaway will run in this new world. We have missed you all so much, and are delighted to be able to tell you that we are planning to reopen our doors on 10th July (as long as government guidelines don't dictate otherwise), and we can't wait to welcome everyone back!

The Safety of our Guests and Team is our Absolute Priority. As you consider your Post Lockdown options, we know that Covid-19 Safety will be at the forefront of your mind. You can be assured that we will have all the precautions in place to minimise the spread of Covid-19 & to keep you and your loved ones safe. We will update you with more details on the measures we will be implementing, as soon as the official Government Guidance is released.

In the meantime, our Standard Rates are online ready to book, with no deposit required, & full flexibility to cancel or modify your booking anytime up to 5 Days of arrival. Full Payment will be taken within 5 Days prior to your stay.

We very much hope that you and your family are safe and well in these difficult times; we are thinking of you all and miss you very much, We know there will be some of you who are working or volunteering on the NHS & Care front line, or keeping us all going with essential services & supplies - thank you so very much.

We have been closed since 22nd March & we wait patiently to understand when & how it will be safe to reopen. We continue to deal with imminent reservations on a date by date basis.
