Set in the country town of Windermere in the south of the Lake District, Alexandra Cottage sleeps five and offers comfortable, homely accommodation within easy reach of the amenities of the town and Lakeland's many attractions. Windermere, England's largest lake, is less than a mile from the cottage and can easily be reached on foot, by car or bus (there is a service every 20 minutes at peak times

). From the station precinct, hourly buses run north to Ambleside, Grasmere and Keswick, and south to Kendal and Lancaster. The local Lakes Rider open top bus stops just 200 yards from the door. There is easy on-street parking in the road outside Alexandra Cottage. Children are welcome at the cottage - cot and high chair are available. Alexandra Cottage has been inspected by VisitEngland and awarded a three star rating for the second year running.
