We've done it! 90 mountains in just 6 days, 3 days quicker than planned. An amazing effort by the team. We've also hit our fundraising goal and currently on £1100, we'd love to push that further though, if you could spare a pound or two then the link is below.

2025 marks the 90th birthday of our wonderful hostel. We are always looking at creative fundraising ideas and have decided to take on the most ambitious yet. We'd love your support!

9 Days - 90 Mountains - £900

Saturday 23rd - Sunday 31st August

Over the course of 9 days, the team will try to summit 90 of the Lakes finest mountains, all alongside the normal working week and busy school holidays.

It works out as 10 mountains per day for the team, or 9 mountains per person across the duration.

The progress will be updated daily in the hostel and on the official page.

All mountains must be categorised as a Wainwright and each Wainwright can only be summited once.

All proceeds will be going to YHA's Breaks programme, delivering free and subsided residential trips for young people who are most in need.

Please dig deep, even a couple of pounds would be gratefully received.

We are so pleased to announce that we will be starring on the BBC's Interior Design Masters, featuring Alan Carr as its host. Get it scheduled into your diaries, Thursday evening at 8pm, BBC1.
