With restrictions easing, we’ve been getting a lot of calls regarding our beer garden. It’s certainly been the weather for it! We’re so grateful that the town is eager to show us such continued support. Whilst we’d love you all to come and enjoy the premises, it is with regret that we must inform you that at present we remain CLOSED. We will not be opening the bar/restaurant to the public until further notice. Of course, if there are any updates on our situation you’ll all be the first to know. But, until then, stay safe, have fun, and enjoy all the other fantastic local businesses Wisbech has to offer! 🙂 ❤️

THIS FRIDAY!!!
Having brought The White Lion hotel last year, we have spent 12 months refurbishing the hotel and making it a pleasant place for everyone. Our bar area has had a renovation and is now a warm and cosy place to spend an afternoon.
We’ve been welcomed so warmly and would now like to give something back to the community. With local bus routes running by stage coach/Norfolk green it has never been easier for our elder community to get out and about but we’ve noticed the town lacks a place to go where you can simply socialise with likeminded people.
The White Lion hotel has been a staple piece in Wisbech heritage for such a long time, and we’re sure a lot of senior residents of Wisbech and the surrounding areas have had many happy memories of the establishment.
We would like to invite you to join us for a senior’s coffee morning fortnightly Fridays 11.00-14.00hrs, starting February 28th (then March 13th, 27th, & so on). We will have a range of puzzles, games, cross words and books and run an offer for a coffee & cake at just £3.00. All first time attendees will receive a cake/pastry for free upon arrival. Music from all the greats will be played; think Elvis & Sinatra.
We really hope that you may consider joining us, and hope you may find yourself creating friendships, if not just reminiscing on fond memories of the hotel and relaxing for an hour or two.

The White Lion Hotel is set within the lovely market town of Wisbech, in the fens of Cambridgeshire. This charismatic Victorian building was built in the early 1800’s, sharing the breath taking views of the river Nene, and period buildings alongside the North Brink. Having recently changed ownership, we aim to make sure that our guests are comfortable, happy and satisfied with the service we provide. Offering a range of 16 En-suite room’s, including Self Catered Units, we hope to make sure we can provide the right room for all guest’s who wish to stay at our establishment.
All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee facilities, flat screen televisions, Free Wi-Fi, riverside views on certain room’s & customary toiletries. The Self-Catering rooms have the additional benefits of its own kitchenette, with a microwave oven, toaster machines & fridge freezer to aid to the room’s comfort.
A private guest bar is open every day, ensuring a relaxing and calm environment for guest’s who wish to visit. Furthermore, a lovely private beer garden is also available for guests to enjoy in their own peace and comfort.
Our Breakfast menu aims to give our guests the perfect start to the day. With a small variety of traditional options to choose from. The option to cater for different requirements upon request will also be available.
Onsite parking is available for both large and small vehicles.
