Are you open?
Yes - absolutely! The Rose & Crown Hotel has been open again and welcoming members of the public since 2022.

What are you currently offering?
We’re operating as accommodation only, focusing on comfortable, great-value stays while we carefully begin making improvements to the building.

Is there a bar or restaurant?
Not at the moment. We don’t have an alcohol licence, but guests are very welcome to bring their own drinks, which many find helps keep stays more affordable.

Are you taking bookings?
Yes!

What’s coming next?
We’re working steadily towards restoring key spaces - including the ballroom - and introducing things like afternoon tea in the coming months. Updates will be shared as we go.

We’re really pleased to be starting a new chapter at The Rose and Crown Hotel.

Founded in 1435 and proudly Grade II listed, this historic building has been part of Wisbech for nearly 600 years. As the new, independent team behind the hotel, we feel incredibly lucky to be caring for such an important local landmark - and we’re committed to giving it the time, attention and respect it deserves.

We are open and welcoming guests, while we quietly and carefully make the improvements needed to restore comfort and character throughout the hotel. Everything is being done thoughtfully and step by step, always guided by the building’s history.

In the coming months, we’re excited to introduce afternoon tea and more, as we work towards restoring the Crown to The Rose and Crown.
