WAIT... Leek & Mango Tart?! 👀

Yes, you read that correctly and it's back by popular demand!

We've been listening to your feedback and we're excited to bring back some of your favourite Crown classics alongside a refreshed summer menu. Our Head Chef Jamie has been hard at work creating a selection of delicious new dishes that celebrate the best of the season, using wonderful local suppliers and ingredients. 

Don't worry, we haven't touched the classics. Our famous Crown House Burger remains firmly on the menu and our signature BBQ Ribs aren't going anywhere... we wouldn't dare!

And let's talk lunch... ☀️

This summer, we're taking lunchtime seriously, no dry cheese sandwiches and boring salads here! Think fresh salads, light bites, hearty jacket potatoes and plenty of tempting options whether you're after a quick bite or a leisurely catch-up with friends.

It's nearly time to tuck into that Cherry Bakewell Sponge and, honestly, the team are struggling to stay patient! 🍒

Father's Day is just around the corner and we're looking forward to welcoming you all for an afternoon of great food, drink and giving Dad the day off from making decisions, watching football, cooking dinner or saying yes to some DIY.. 

Our kitchen team has put together a Father's Day menu packed with proper comfort food. There's roasted chicken served with hash brown chips... yes, hash brown chips. Before you ask, they're every bit as good as they sound. Possibly better!

If Dad prefers to keep things traditional, our roasted sirloin of beef comes with all the trimmings and a Yorkshire pudding so impressive it deserves its own postcode.

And then there's dessert. Cherry Bakewell Sponge. Need we say more? Of course cheese and biscuits and more desserts are on offer!

Add a well stocked bar, plenty of laughs around the table and absolutely no washing up.. Unless you offer! We think  you've then got all the ingredients for a Father's Day done properly.

Tables are filling up quickly, so if you're planning to join us, we'd recommend booking sooner rather than later.

The weather forecast might be having an identity crisis, but one thing's for certain... Sunday lunch is happening!

From 12pm, we'll be serving up everything a proper Sunday should include. Crisp, fluffy roast potatoes, perfectly pink roast beef (or well done if that's how you like it), plenty of rich roast gravy and of course, cauliflower cheese! Because let's be honest, is it even Sunday without it?

Forget spending your day peeling potatoes, accidentally burning something and the dread of washing up or filing the dishwasher because thats just as bad!
Gather the family, catch up with friends or simply enjoy a well earned lazy Sunday while we do the hard work for you.

Saturdays are just better, especially when the suns out! 🌞

Saturday means Afternoon Tea! Is there anything more British than a freshly made sandwich cut in to perfect delicate fingers? Why do they taste better cut like that and when someone else makes them? 

Our Chef's love Saturdays because they can great creative with the very best seasonal and local ingredients, creating our afternoon tea menu fresh on the day! We always hope they make extra of those freshly baked scones! 

The bar is ready, cool, aircon on and yes Jake is serving all day, we thought it was time after posing for our bar photos! Cold beers, fruity soft drinks and Classic Pimms in the garden 🍓

Lunch is served from 12pm, our Al a carte menu and our light lunch menu is available with summer salads and jackets potatoes. No sad, soggy jackets here, fluffy, crisp, generously buttered and full of fillings! 

Evening food service begins at 6pm and don't forget Sunday lunch tomorrow! Tomorrows menu is available on our website now, roast sirloin of beef and fresh water prawn salad alongside some other classics! Call now to book, or just turn up, we cant wait to see you! 🌞

After lots of debating, taste testing and listening to all of your suggestions, our BRAND NEW beer line up is finally arriving tomorrow and we honestly can’t wait for you all to try!

We’ve had many people asking for something fresh behind the bar ready for summer, so we’ve brought in some popular choices including the most voted for Peroni, refreshing Cornish cider and a few more favourites, something for everyone!... of course we did have to keep Guiness though!
We can’t think of a better excuse for a cheeky midweek treat with friends, a catch up, or simply a well-earned pint after work !

And because we’re so excited about the new line up… the FIRST PINT of each new beer poured tomorrow is on us! 🥳

May 8th, this Friday we've got James Long in for the night ( only 30 years + of wine wisdom.. no big deal! ) alongside head chef Jamie for a menu that's perfectly matched!
