Join us at our back to basics grass pitch campsite located on a working farm half a mile from the river Thames, in Northmoor, West Oxfordshire. Expect basic but well maintained facilities including a composting toilet, porta-loos, a cold water washing up station, and a shared freezer for freezing ice packs. A small honesty shop is available selling, on most days, eggs from our chickens, grass fed
meat from our own Ruby Red cattle and flock of sheep, local honey and preserves, and local sausages and bacon. Open fires are encouraged, and fire packs can be purchased on site, consisting of kindling, wood, and firelighters. This family friendly site is perfect for those wanting to relax and unwind, enjoying open fires and evening sunsets. This is a 'quiet campsite' and therefore we ask that there is no music. The site is just a 5 minute walk from our fabulous village pub, The Red Lion at Northmoor. The Maybush and Rose Revived pubs at Newbridge are only 1 mile away. And many more brilliant pubs and eateries can be reached by foot on longer circular walks. The close proximity to the river makes it perfect for water lovers. Just half a mile from the river Thames you can enjoy walks along the Thames Path, or launch paddle boards or canoes from our land that borders the Thames (we can allow vehicle access to a lowered 'beach' area on the banks of the river). Well behaved, vaccinated dogs are welcome, if kept on a lead and under close supervision at all times. But for the enjoyment of all of our guests and neighbours we are unable to welcome dogs that frequently or consistently bark, yap or whine. A secure dog paddock is located just 600 metres along the road and can be booked subject to availability and an additional charge (www.floreysfieldoxfordshire.co.uk).
