Great Green Bush-Crickets, that we found in the field. I had never seen them before, but what a beautiful insect. Followed by a few snaps of some wild flowers, that have survived this hot summer!

Earlier in the year, we made this Bug Hotel on the field area, with pallets, broken pots, scraps of wood, pinecones, etc... over summer, lots of different bugs have moved in and made this their home!

Summerfestival Framlingham - a lovely day out, with great music! Daisy got to see her new favourite band again Scouting For Girls! So glad the rain managed to stay away.

Gates and steps onto the field are being made, with the first coming from our garden (our dogs can't wait for this!). Then, one will be added down the alley in The Corner House. Guests will eventually have a wildlife area to explore, we just need to get a fence up when the ground is a little softer!

Last week, we had a delicious meal at our local pub - The Crown. We ate outside, then managed to wander home, seconds before huge thunderstorms arrived. Guests always recommend others and say to us what a lovely meal they have had here - we are so lucky to have this less than a 5 minute walk away!

After months of tinkering, the very old mower is finally working, blades, and all! So we have all had a turn at cutting pathways around the field, avoiding the tiny saplings along the way.

Bastille Colchester Castle Summer Series - what a night! Brilliant 'warm up' bands, followed by the absolutely amazing Bastille! We are so lucky to have this venue only a 45 minute drive away.

A fantastic day out at Framlingham Country Show. Highlights were the mini donkeys, bmxing and horses... we also bought a couple of handmade carved items.... nature trail anyone?! - the show is set on grounds, that have a wonderful view to the 'Castle on the hill'.

A lovely evening on Thorpeness meare, with a fab drone show to finish the night off!
