Red Barn Cottage A great base for walking, cycling, and enjoying nature in the idyllic Suffolk countryside. Two well behaved dogs are welcome as well.

Red Barn Cottage is located just outside the peaceful village of Kettleburgh in the Deben Valley, near Woodbridge in Suffolk. The cottage has two bedrooms (one double, one twin) and sleeps four guests. Red Barn Cottage is close to the market town of Framlingham with its impressive castle, church and school. The Suffolk Coasts and Heaths area of outstanding natural beauty (www.suffolkcoastandheaths.org/
) is close by, with the seaside towns of Orford, Aldeburgh and Southwold within easy reach.

After a very busy 2021, we've been taking some time out, and are now freshening up the cottage ready for the next season.
Meanwhile, we're loving the increasing day length, which gives us a bit more time to get out and appreciate the lovely countryside in which we live.

We recently spent a wonderful afternoon seal watching in Hamford Water. We sailed with , and would thoroughly recommend them. In the summer, they also operate the Harwich Harbour Foot ferry between Felixstowe, Harwich and Shotley, which makes a good day out in itself.
We saw lots of grey seals - pups and adults, including this old fellow.
