Has anyone in Woodchurch lost a Guinea Pig? A brown/black/white one was found in a garden in Mill View yesterday, the lady who found him has taken them to a local vet for safe keeping.

Has anyone seen the site now the boards have been taken down? The footpath runs from the building to the main road..... right in the middle of the junction. I couldn't believe it when I saw it, there is not enough room to make a path along the road to a safe place, so this MUST be an accident waiting to happen :(

The new building is massive, an even bigger eye sore than I thought it was going to be, they seem to have built on every bit of space they could.

Well the foundations are in place and they have given the development a name - Woodchurch House. They could have at least named it after the Stonebridge Inn - Stonebridge House or Stonebridge View.

Stonebridge Inn, Woodchurch
This was built as a road-house on the B2067 in the 1930s. It is a twin pub with the rebuilt Duke's Head in Hamstreet. Plans have been submitted several times to turn this into a residential home (2005) as Woodchurch already boasts two public houses. Let's hope this one can hang on in there as a pub...
