September at The Killy 🍂

There’s something special about this time of year. The first signs of autumn are beginning to appear, the evenings are drawing in and cosy season is just around the corner.

In the kitchen, September brings a new wave of seasonal ingredients and dishes – exceptional produce, locally sourced wherever possible, transformed into thoughtful, beautifully executed food across our menus.

It’s an approach built on consistency, and one we’re incredibly proud to have maintained over the years. More than 10 years of recognition in the Michelin Guide and 3 AA Rosettes are testament to that – but just as important to us are the familiar faces who return time and time again.

Great ingredients, great cooking and the warmth of a proper Oxfordshire Cotswold pub.

Here’s to a new month, new flavours and the start of cosy season at The Killy. 🍴🍂

Over a decade in the Michelin Guide. ⭐

For more than 10 years, The Killingworth Castle has proudly held its place in the Michelin Guide – through changing seasons, evolving menus and plenty of dishes along the way.

At the heart of it all is what we’ve always believed in: exceptional ingredients, thoughtful cooking and really good food served in a proper Oxfordshire Cotswolds pub.

Here’s to doing what we love, year after year. 🤍

A little look at what’s coming out of the Killy kitchen at the moment…

Our whipped chicken liver parfait, served with greengage plums, macadamia nuts and toasted brioche. Rich, smooth, a little sweet and a little sharp – exactly the kind of starter that gets you excited for what’s coming next.

On the À La Carte menu now 🍽️

Longhorn sirloin, roasted mushroom, tarragon emulsion, crispy potatoes & peppercorn sauce. CLASSIC 🥩

Greenhouse fish with brown butter sauce, capers, lemon, parsley & Cornish mussels.
It’s one of our fresh, Summery mains flying out from the à la carte.

Our new Summer À La Carte has arrived, and it’s a menu we’ve been looking forward to sharing.

This is the time of year when the ingredients really do the hard work. Beautiful market fish, exceptional British beef, free-range chicken and the freshest seasonal vegetables all have their place on this menu, and our job is simply to do them justice.

As a 3 AA Rosette and Michelin Recommended country pub in the heart of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, we’re incredibly proud of every plate that leaves our kitchen.

We’d love to welcome you in to try our new Summer À La Carte.

Summer weekends are even better when they end with a proper Sunday lunch.

Our summer Sunday menu is packed with the best local produce, from Roast Sirloin of Hereford Beef and Roast Cotswold Chicken to Skrei Cod for those craving something a little lighter. Everything is cooked with care, using ingredients from the fantastic local suppliers we’re proud to work with.

And if you’re joining us earlier in the weekend, there’s something new to discover too. Our new Bar Menu is now available Thursday to Saturday, with seasonal dishes perfect for a relaxed lunch, a pint and a bite, or an easy evening in the pub.

Whether you’re a Sunday regular or planning your first visit, we’d love to welcome you.
