Guess what?!

It’s official roast season, and I’m ready with my knife and fork! We’ve kicked off roast season with our favourite SawmillsFreehouse nothing beats this roast, I had a small lamb roast which was £14 and a perfect size for me which came with all the veggie trimmings, absolutely delicious as always.

Now to work out where we’re going next week, any suggestions for a good roast in this area? We’ve tried a few different places but always up for trying somewhere new.

Last night was our end of summer celebration and unfortunately a farewell to Simon and Bentley who after 3 seasons with us have decided to return home to be closer to their family.
We have loved having Simon and Bentley with us, they’ve worked so hard and we cannot thank them enough for all that they have done over the last 3 seasons. I know all of us will miss them.

Goodbye summer, this Saturday we will be saying goodbye to summer and Simon and Bentley, don’t worry they’ll be back next summer, but this is their last weekend with us this year.

So we’re taking time out to mingle with everyone, catch up with everyone have a fire pit and some music and just enjoy the full moon rising.

Oh and before you think we’re closing the site for the season we’re not closing until the 1st November so you have about 6 weekends left! Also if your eagle eyed you will have noticed we’ve completely dropped out prices for the last few weekends, prices start at £12 a night for a single person pitch, £20 for non electric, £25 for electric.

Unfortunately we have had to make the decision to cancel this weekends women’s camping event. The weather just isn’t playing ball with us. It looks horrible on Friday and Saturday, and we just don’t have the indoor space to have the yoga, Pilates sound bath etc.

I am absolutely gutted that we have had to make this decision, but hopefully we can hold it next year, if you still want to come along and camp you are more than welcome, I have emailed everyone with an option.

Once again I am so sorry that I had to make this decision but yoga in the rain and 22mph winds will really test your balance!

This weekend is our women’s only camping weekend, a group of like minded women getting together for a relaxed weekend of yoga, Pilates, saunas, readings, talks and walks.

If this isn’t your thing but you want a peaceful weekend camping, you’re welcome to just come along and sit in a field and read a book, there’s no pressure to do anything, you can do as little or as much as you like, and you don’t have to be staying on site, if you’re local and you want to join in with any of the activities just drop me a message.

Oi Oi have we got some good news for you, not only do we have discounted rates on camping and glamping for the rest of this season (we close 1st November) but we are now taking bookings for 2027, the system is set up and ready to go, so if you have your dates ready and you have that certain pitch you love, get booked in with just a 30% deposit.
