As a super senior cat, I have regular health check-ups with Vanessa the vet I quite enjoy my little outings and sometimes even purr when I see her!
Yesterday, Vanessa confirmed I'm doing extremely well for my age. I stood perfectly still on the scales (as any sensible, calm cat would) and was pleased to hear I'd put on a little weight, even better, Vanessa said my heart sounded like that of a much younger cat even though I sleep most of the day.
Vanessa then suggested my nails needed trimming, never in all my years had I endured such an indignity! I was whisked away from my loyal servants, Mary and Andy, wrapped in a towel, and subjected to a pedicure. I'm not usually one to make a fuss, BUT I yelled loud enough for Mary and Andy to hear me from two rooms away!
After such a betrayal, I felt it only right to spend the rest of the day sulking.
Still, I suppose I'm now beach-ready with my fresh manicure, so perhaps it's time to start planning a little holiday at Byre Cottage Willingcott Valley Woolacombe while there is some availability remaining... 🏖️ 😺
