CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS FOR 2026!!!

This new year brings a lot of exciting new adventures and challenges with Trail Outlaws!

We have a fantastic 2026 team, with the most awesome TRAIL OUTLAWS RACE AMBASSADORS, new MARSHAL TEAM LEADER roles, a NEW ASSISTANT RACE DIRECTOR, NEW PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS, and a new EVENT COORDINATOR and of course our utterly invaluable team of volunteers and marshals!

Being a volunteer for Trail Outlaws is lots of fun, you get to enjoy beautiful landscapes, make new friends, be part of a fantastic running community and get lots of perks for helping out.

If you would like to be a marshal for any of our races this year, we have a submission form for volunteers:

Here you can include if there is a preference for where you would like to help out!

If you have burning volunteer questions, you can email me: [email protected] - I will be coordinating all volunteers.
I will be sending out information for volunteers nearer the date, so you know who your Marshal Team Leaders is to report to; what you will be doing, where you need to be; at what time; what useful kit you need and most importantly where the tea, coffee and cake is situated!

Our first event is coming up very soon! On the 14th February 2026 we have our Three Forts Hill Trail Challenge in the Cheviot hills, which is a circle route from our Wooler Hostel. It has some added extra fun and is our first WALKING and RUNNING trail race! Details about this event can be found on our website:

Dear Suki is being kept on her puppy paws at the Wooler Hostel with our new michevious addition, 10 week old, Border Collie girl pup, Fern! 😍 Our old cats, Sylvia and Freja are not amused!!🙄🤣

Hostel News!! Wooler Hostel has a new family member! Meet Fern, our baby Border Collie! Settling in really well with our old dear, Suki Shih Tzu! Cats , Sylvia and Freja, not so sure, observing from a distance!😂 Fern is sister to beautiful Brogan, belonging to my bestie, Marie Louise Drozdowicz who teaches yoga, Tai Chi, art and is part of our hostel/ Trail Outlaws team. Marie lost her sweet Ugg, Border Collie, in November leaving a huge hole for her, Ian and their dog Bov. Tim has wanted a running buddy for a while, our Suki likes being carried in her sling and her eye sight isn't very good now, she likes cuddles, & comfort and has arthritis , bless her. So, when Marie told us there was a little girl in the litter who needed a home, it was the perfect timing. First night went really well, she has an affectionate, sweet nature and we've all fallen in love! Fern and her sister, Brogan will grow up together, exploring the Cheviots and having wonderful lives!

Another fabulous 🇩🇰 Hugge Christmas Gathering at Wooler Hostel today! We made Danish apple and cinnamon pastries (recipe to follow soon)and scoffed them hot! Little hand sewn mice, twinkly bottles, jars, natural foraged wreaths (thank you Marie Louise Drozdowicz )Christmas cards, Elf doors and decorations and mead (thankyou Ian xx) Lots of wonderful conversation, brilliant company and newly forged friendships. Thank you to everyone who came.. Glædelig jul og godt nytår mine kære!!! 🇩🇰🎄❤️
