Bridges of Light is back with an exciting new programme for 2026 celebrating Worcester’s communities, creativity and collaboration.

From 6 – 9pm on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October, the city centre will come alive with high-quality light installations, interactive artworks, and immersive experiences.

Worcester’s imagination and creativity are at the heart of this vibrant, inspiring and entertaining festival, which is a free, non-ticketed event designed for all ages.

🦦 Otters on the River Severn! 🦦

What a treat we had on our walk this morning!

Otters virtually disappeared from Worcestershire during the 1970s, but thankfully began making a natural return to the River Severn in the mid-1980s. Since then, they have continued to re-establish themselves — and Worcester now has its own resident otter families. 🦦💙

This morning we had the absolute pleasure of watching them at Diglis Weir. Such a wonderful sight and one of those moments when you just have to stop and watch!

There’s a lovely circular walk around the River Severn in Worcester, taking you along both sides of the river and down towards Diglis. It’s a walk we really enjoy and there’s always something to see along the way.

So, if you’re looking for somewhere different to walk, give the Worcester riverside a try — keep your eyes on the water around Diglis and you may just be lucky enough to spot an otter or two! 👀🦦

We certainly felt very lucky this morning. ❤️

🎄 Worcester Victorian Christmas Fayre is getting closer! 🎄

With just over two months to go until the Worcester Victorian Christmas Fayre, preparations are well underway to bring hundreds of festive stalls, entertainment and live music back to the city streets.

We’ve also got some exciting new branding and plenty of new additions planned for this year’s Fayre.
