It’s been a little later than usual this year thanks to the lovely weather that’s kept us enjoying those last tastes of summer… but there’s definitely been autumnal feel in the air this afternoon so we’re ready to get cosy! 🔥❤️

Come and join us over the weekend for a warm welcome by the fire. Be quick though, the tables closest to the fire are always in high demand so arrive early to secure your favourite spot or prepare to negotiate with someone’s dog for the best seat in the house…. 😁

Our dahlias are still flowering beautifully, even in mid-October, bringing a splash of colour to our tables. Meanwhile, our homegrown herbs are heading straight into the kitchen to add a little extra garden goodness to our dishes…

P.S our receptionist Emily has had a telling off from the kitchen for picking the asparagus tops to use as foliage with the flowers… She sends her apologies to any keen gardeners out there who may have noticed. We promise the kitchen will be consulted next time 😬🤣

Over the last few days, we’ve had the privilege of hosting two wakes for two local families here at The Talbot 🤍

We provided arrival drinks, tea and coffee, alongside a lovely buffet, giving family and friends a warm and welcoming space to come together, share memories and celebrate the lives of their loved ones.

It’s a privilege to support our local community during such difficult times, and we’d like to thank both families for choosing The Talbot.

If you’re looking for a venue to host a wake or family gathering, please do get in touch. We’ll do everything we can to make the arrangements as easy and stress-free as possible.

What a brilliant turnout for the Teme Valley Market today! 🛍️🌿 It’s been a wonderful day celebrating local businesses, great produce and our fantastic community ❤️

Also, a massive thank you to everyone who came along to support The Teme Valley Brewery Green Hop B**r Fest and enjoyed a pint or two (or more, we know some you might if over indulged but that’s what festivals are all about 😜) you all made it such a success.

The Hollygog, as always, has been a firm favourite but our Talbot Garden Figs with Bennetts Ice Cream has been stealing the show…

🌿 And these aren’t just any figs… it’s the first time our very own Talbot fig tree has fruited in 20 YEARS!!!

🍎 Fancy a slice of strudel? Our special slice of tastebud heaven is made with apples and blackberries straight from the Talbot Garden too.
