A stunning sun set at Maryport Harbour only 10 minutes drive from the cabin. There’s plenty to do at Maryport from West Coast Indoor Karting Maryport, Clip N Climb Maryport or visit the Lake District Coast Aquarium, Maryport, there’s many cafes, bars and restaurants so overall a great place to visit.

Portinscale is a lovely place to visit, a 25 minute scenic drive from the cabin. Stop for a bite to eat at the popular The Chalet Tea Rooms & Restaurant. There’s plenty to do from boat hire, paddle boarding, kayaking (Nichol End Marine) and the lake cruise (Keswick Launch Company) which has 8 drop off points around Derwent water you can hop on and off at each destination. Make sure you take your camera, there’s plenty to see, walk through a wooded path along to another favourite, The Lingholm Kitchen & Walled Garden. The walled garden was Beatrix Potter inspiration for The Tale of Peter Rabbit… and if that wasn’t enough… grab yourself an alpaca and go for a walk around the famous Cat Bells… yep that’s right an alpaca walk with Alpacaly ever after. Such a fantastic little village which is only 15 minutes walk along to the town of Keswick.
