The Old Ginn House Inn aims to ensure you have a most relaxing and enjoyable stay.

*A ginn-gang (or local area names of ginn-house, ginn-case, ginn-race) was a covered building where the ‘ginn’ (which is short for engine) was the power to drive a small threshing machine, and the horse did the ‘gang’ or going. The ginn was connected by cogs to a spindle, which was connected to a shaft attached to a horse, which turned the spindle and powered the machine by ‘ganging’ (walking) round.

The Old Ginn House is a 21 bedroom Inn with a busy restaurant and bar and we are looking for a confident person to join our team.
Duties include reception, bar and restaurant work.

Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
25+ hours per week over 4/5 days. Includes a combination of breakfast, day shifts and evenings.

We have a full-time Chef position becoming available

Full time - 35+ hours working a shift pattern over 5 days per week. You must be flexible with days and be prepared to work extra hours to cover holidays and sickness.

Duties include breakfast, lunch and evening service, stock control and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You must be prepared to work as a member of a team as well as being able to work on your own.

Relevant experience necessary but further training will be given as we have an extensive menu and you will be required to prepare all dishes.

Own transport an advantage due to location. If no transport, there is a regular bus from Workington but check bus times and connections before applying.
