I am no Captain Tom Moore..thats for sure; but I have decided to help raise funds for a deserving cause, as my way of 'giving back' during these difficult times. A lot of charities will be unable to raise funds at this time, I have chosen to support the Alzheimer's Society for obvious reasons, seeing first hand the effects of this condition on the individuals and their families.
Those afflicted by this condition will not be able to tell you that they are unwell, or off-their food, or even if they have a temperature! Critical signs during this pandemic, its upto their loved ones and carers to recognise these signs and symptoms; hospitals although doing an amazing job medically, find it difficult to treat these individuals who very often have limited appropriate communication abilities.
I will be undertaking a heavy duty working-out for 156 minutes at the care home, and for those who do work out will know that this is an extortionate amount of time to exercise for. During any break periods, I will be helping the carers and auxillary staff (so not really a break at all).
I hope you will be able to support me raise funds for this deserving cause

Royal Wedding
The royal wedding was celebrated with such enthusiasm with a mock-up 'Street Party' at Victoria Lodge. Family and friends raised a toast to the newly-weds, and residents enjoyed a lavish meal and an Afternoon High Tea..very posh it was too!

Campaign

Does anyone have any ipads, tablets, ipods, or MP3 players in working order that they no longer use and can donate for a new initiative to promote resident activities within Victoria Lodge?
