Faraway Follies The Lodges at Faraway are unique & individual in their character & styling. Offering comfortable and Offering comfortable and yet sophisticated accommodation.

Owl Lodge has a double bedroom with a comfy John Lewis mattress and a sitting room with a pull out Ikea sofa bed that converts to a king size bed. We provide linen for both beds. The kitchen has an under counter larder fridge, full size induction hob, kettle, toaster and combi microwave/oven/grill. There is also a Webber Kettle barbecue outside which you can use. The Dog House has a double bedroom

with a medium firmness Ikea mattress. Egyptian cotton linen is provided along with two towels for each guest. The kitchen has a gas hob, kettle, toaster, microwave and mini oven. Both properties have a Wood burning fire for heating which we provide enough logs to keep it burning for the duration of your stay. We provide enough coffee, tea, sugar and milk to get you going. The shower rooms have constant hot water so you can shower any time of day.

We were sent these gloves and swimming socks by .co.uk
They are great, we were definitely able to stay longer in the water and took the opportunity to clear out some oof the willow trees flowers that were floating around in the pool.
The socks are very easy to get on and off and the gloves made swimming easier as my hands were more effective moving through the water and even better than all of that they are not neoprene but are made of some funky eco friendly material.

What I forgot to add is that in my head I’m still the 17 year old that arrived here at Faraway almost 50 years ago!

Thoughts for Tuesday: we are in control of our thoughts and our feelings. It’s only us who can really get us out of any pit we find ourselves in. Other people can help but in reality they are only a sticking plaster or a temporary fix. We have to kick ourselves up the ass to really make a change.

A frosty start to the year of the fire horse!
We’re so excited about how the plans we have for the new spaces we’re creating will come together this year with the force of the fire horse behind them. We’ve got a new covered space for yoga, pilates, Ju Jitsu, Qi gong and we’ve got a new decking area by the sauna for a new .therapy pod with a chiller for the summer and a new car parking area. Look out fire horse we’re ready for you. Trot on!

A lesson in staying positive. Many of us wake up in the morning feeling not quite on top of the world but that’s an important moment to change your state of mind and show gratitude for still being here. It’s a privilege to grow old.
