It’s taken us over a month to share this round-up… which probably tells you everything you need to know about how busy Team Tapnell has been. 😅💛
Before the summer holidays even began, our team had already spent around three months welcoming thousands of pupils to Tapnell for school trips and residential stays.
Then summer arrived… and they went pretty much straight into another of our busiest times of the year.
So, slightly later than planned, we wanted to stop for a moment and celebrate what they achieved:
🐷 3,129 Farm Park visits
💦 3,304 Aqua Park visits
⚽ 1,021 rounds of Football Golf
🍔 942 children, 114 teachers & 11 drivers fed at The Cow
🏕️ 823 children & 112 teachers stayed at Camp Tapnell
✨ 119 children & 16 teachers stayed in our glamping accommodation
That’s a lot of beds prepared, meals served, buoyancy aids fitted, activities run, groups welcomed, questions answered and problems solved.
And plenty of adapting along the way too – from turning our Events Barn into a World Cup viewing spot for 83 pupils and 13 teachers from two schools, while keeping the Farm Park open later for those who wanted to carry on playing, to setting up a little cinema in the office for a smaller group on a rainy day. ⚽🎬
Because no two residentials are quite the same.
And perhaps the part that makes us proudest is reading the feedback from teachers about the people behind those experiences. Again and again, we heard how friendly, supportive and enthusiastic our teams were, how well looked after groups felt and how staff went above and beyond to make their trips special. One school told us that staff had worked incredibly hard to ensure they were looked after.
So this one is really for everyone across Team Tapnell who helped make our 2026 schools and residential season happen.
Thank you for all your hard work! 🫶
