🔥 IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE – PLEASE READ 🔥

With the current extremely dry conditions and the recent devastating fire at Headon Warren, we need everyone's help to keep Camp Wight safe.

🚫 NO fire pits 🚫 NO disposable BBQs

✅ Gas BBQs are welcome, but they MUST be raised off the ground at all times. Please never place any BBQ directly onto the grass. Stoves must always be raised well off the ground on a stable, non-flammable surface—never directly on dry grass.

🚬 Please do NOT throw cigarette ends onto the ground. Even if they appear to be out, they can still ignite dry grass. Please make sure all ci******es are fully extinguished and disposed of responsibly.

💧 Every pitch MUST collect a bucket of water from one of the water points and keep it at your pitch at all times while cooking or using a gas BBQ. It only takes a minute to collect, but it could make all the difference in an emergency.

The whole site is incredibly dry, and it wouldn't take much for a small spark to become something far more serious. We want everyone to have a fantastic stay, but the safety of our campers, neighbouring properties and the surrounding countryside has to come first.

Recent visitors to our woodland campsite, with their vintage VW camper. In this crazy hot weather the shade in the woodland and the transpiration from the trees means ambient temperatures are 2-5 degrees C lower.
