IMPORTANT NOTICE

It is with deep sadness and regret that we announce the closure of Fresspirit Glamping from 5th October 2025.

Despite having an excellent year for customer satisfaction, consistently receiving the best reviews we've ever achieved, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are no longer able to remain on the current site and are faced with relocation or closure. With this in mind, we have made the difficult decision to sell the business, along with it's physical and digital assets. A full advert will be coming imminently.

Our bookings remain open until Sunday 5th October and we encourage you to come and enjoy our wonderful glamping experience one final time before we close.

We would like to thank all our customers over the last five years for helping grow our business to what it is, we are truly grateful to each and every one of you. Thanks also to our suppliers and local businesses for their ongoing support, the various landowners that have allowed us to create our business in the first place, our wonderful cleaners and support staff over the years without whom we could not have run the business, we will miss you all and finally to our friends, family and social media followers who have given us so much support, love and encouragement over the years.

We currently have a fire ban in place because of this and hardly any rain since February. We are still allowing our own BBQs and log burners to be used and have additional safety measures in place. Disposable BBQs are banned on site. We ask all our customers to take extra precautions when visiting us and the area. Thank you.

We remain at the scene of the moor fire at Langdale and are likely to be there for some time to come.

Crews continue to carry out hotspotting and are working to contain the fire spread from the perimeter due to the presence of unexploded ordnance on the site. We continue to be supported by partners, farmers and contractors and again thank them for all their help.

Fire investigation work has started but no cause has been established at this time.

We continue to ask people to avoid the area, but the rest of the National Park remains open. There is still an extreme fire risk so if you're visiting please follow the wildfire prevention advice- don't have BBQ/campfires, take glass bottles and jars home and don't throw ci******es or matches on the ground or out of car windows

The smoke from this incident is impacting different areas depending on the wind direction. Our advice remains to keep doors and windows shut if you’re affected by smoke. Larry the Lawn Tractor meets Tabby the Trailer and together they are making great things happen at Freespirit Glamping!

One day one Tabby transported last minute log orders to customers, took towel sets to Sunflower tent and Tentwarmer kits to Rose tent. She's also been helping clean the fire pits and shifted piles of rubbish and dirty laundry across the site.

Larry is quite attached to her already and he's thinking of getting hitched. I think I'm being taken for a ride by these two!

Imagine my surprise when this turned up at the gate. A man dressed in army camo clothing got out and said they had a call from the police to diffuse a bomb at this postcode! 😱

Knowing nothing about a bomb or the police I called around. No bombs here, thankfully 😂 Turns out they were meant to be the other side of the valley dealing with an unexploded WW2 "device"!

Another exciting day as a glamping site owner.

Fire ban in force

Due to the very long dry period and the drastically increased fire risk on the moors and our site, we have taken the difficult decision to remove all fire pits and ban open fires until further notice.

The safety of our customers and the protection of the wonderful location we use are our top priority.

We are still allowing the use of our BBQs as they are contained. We are providing additional water bottles for pouring on anything that falls on the ground. Please ensure all BBQs are left closed after cooking.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will refund any prepurchased wood packs of required. Thanks for your understanding.
