After 4 years of living back in gods own county, it's time to take life a little easier and handover over the running of Holtby Grange Cottages to new owners.

Thanks to all those people whose custom has made living in this beautiful location possible. But, also a very big thank you to some amazing neighbours who've been a joy to meet and have shown us nothing but kindness.

We'll miss watching the Roe Deer, the Barn Owl, the Kestrel, the Common Buzzards but most of all we'll miss watching the new born lambs running around the paddocks.

Here's to our new life in Northamptonshire.

Our sceond stay at Holtby Grange Cottages, but our first in Fieldview Cottage. We are never disappointed and fall in love with the place a bit more every time we visit. Our parents came and enjoyed their stay just as much as we did. We'll be back again this year sometime.

By the time that we can open up our cottages to guests on 12th April the days will be longer, the sun will be warmer and there'll be around 100 little lambs running and jumping in the fields.

But there is good news at Holtby Grange Cottages. The lockdown has given us time to make a few improvements - a new Fridge / Freezer in this one, a new Smart TV in that one, a lick of paint in another one, some homemade planter over here, a new bench over there ! It won't be too long before we open our doors again but in the meantime, stay safe and we'll see you on the other side.

So here we are again. Lockdown - who knew it would be a 'thing' 18 months ago ? Not me, that's for sure !

As we move into Lockdown 2.0 and our last remaining guests head home, we'll take the time to catch our breaths and then start preparing the cottages for re-opening in December.

In the meantime, we'd like to wish all our guests, both old and new, a big thank you for your custom so far.

It's always lovely when someone leaves a good review in the visitors book but occasionally you have who's a little more inventive:

Day 1: Wow, wonderful place.
Day 2: OMG what a soft bed, I want this one. It's cold and rainy, wood burner is on, I really want this.
Day 3: That Bed !! Leave me alone, I'm hibernating
Day 4: Do I really have to leave this space ? I'm hibernating !
Day 5: Cold and wet at the coast - so nice and comfy to return to Owl Cottage, warm floors, lovely shower and log fire !
Day 6: I am NOT going home ! I belong here. Further guests will have to work around me. I am in the cupboard - you will have to drag me out of here screaming NOOOOO !
