🎄Are you thinking about visiting York Christmas Markets? 🎄

Bookings are starting to come in for the Christmas period, and we wanted to make sure everyone was aware of the slight change to this years York Christmas Markets.

In case you haven’t heard, this year there will be a “rest day” on a Tuesday where the markets are closed. We know that we have many many guests who visit specifically to visit the Christmas Markets so we’re doing our best to make sure that nobody arrives and ends up disappointed. There are so many things to do and see in York, all open on Tuesdays! Sure the many wonderful businesses who will be open would love a visit on a Tuesday if you’re here :)

🎄✨ York Christmas Market returns for 2026!

From 12 November to 21 December, the heart of York will once again be filled with festive chalets, seasonal treats, unique gifts and plenty of Christmas atmosphere.

This year, the Christmas Market will be open six days a week, with Tuesdays closed for a rest day. But York is open and ready to welcome you seven days a week, with Christmas events, attractions, independent shopping, food and drink, cosy accommodation and much more to discover across the city. ❤️
