Meet Bob & Nina ❤️

Their story with our hotel started 50 years ago in 1976. We were The Viking back then, and they were staying with us for their honeymoon.

They came back in 2002, and then returned again last weekend to celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary. 🥂

They told us how much they love the hotel and how well looked after they’ve always felt when staying with us, which was so lovely to hear.

50 years of marriage, and three stays with us across the years. What a wonderful story.

Congratulations, Bob & Nina! And thank you for coming back to celebrate such a special milestone with us. We’re delighted that our hotel has remained a special place for you to return to and make more memories.



And thank you for the lovely card you left for our team too, it really means a lot.

This time last week 🥂✨

We’ve been proud to host the HAY Awards here at Radisson Hotel York each year, and it’s always such a brilliant night celebrating the people who make York’s hospitality industry what it is.

A big congratulations to all of this year’s finalists and winners — there were so many very deserving celebrations! 🏆

And then there’s our brilliant team. ❤️

While some of us got to put on our fancy clothes and enjoy the awards, plenty of our team were behind the scenes making sure the whole evening ran smoothly.

Thank you, Swap, Albert and all of the team who worked hard all night to keep both our awards guests and hotel guests happy! You absolutely deserved your own round of applause! 👏

We are SO proud of Valentina! 🥹❤️

Last week, Valentina took home the People’s Choice Award at the Awards, and we couldn’t be happier for her.

Nominated by our GM Amanda for the significant and positive contribution she makes to the hotel, Valentina started her Radisson journey eight years ago as a F&B Assistant. Through her hard work and dedication, she’s progressed to become our Meeting & Events Manager and a much-loved member of our HOD team.

And that’s not all. Valentina is also our Mental Health First Aider, always looking out for colleagues and making time to support others whenever they need it.

She never seeks recognition and is always the one going the extra mile, so we’re delighted to see her get her moment in the spotlight. We already knew you were a legend, Valentina… now it’s official! 🏆

The People’s Choice Award was decided by a public vote between four finalists, and we know lots of our colleagues and guests took the time to vote for Valentina. That makes the win even more special, so a huge thank you to everyone who voted and helped make it happen.

Well done, Valentina, and thank you for everything you do. ❤️
