Join us on an expedition into the historic city of York, exploring its Roman, Viking and Medieval history....

📍 Begin by discovering the rich Rowntree connection to our hostel site, before venturing along the mighty Ouse towards the city centre.

📍 Explore the wonders of the Museum Gardens, discovering the many historical details hidden in plain sight!

📍 Then, pass by the majestic York Minster, before finishing up on the Shambles itself - the world’s oldest shopping street.

From there, you are welcome to head off and start your day exploring all our city has to offer - or, you can meander back along the Ouse with our walk leader to return to the hostel.
