Feversham Lodge Feversham Lodge is now no longer in business. Delightful B & B within walking distance of city walls and Minster.

We have a car park for all our guests and free Wi-Fi throughout. Each of our 5 ensuite rooms is individually decorated. The style varies from the traditionally decorated Victorian room to the more contemporary Oriental room with its Chinese lacquer furniture.

I didn’t win best breakfast award. But I have to admit to putting myself out of running as we couldn’t attend the event in London. However our breakfast continues to get great reviews and I am about to introduce Avocado Toast. Got to keep up with the trends! So will be offering Avocado Toast with cherry tomato or Avocado Toast with bacon sprinkle.

I have been shortlisted for a breakfast award for my Kedgereee. National competition and only 10 shortlisted. Cook off in London then prize-giving in Park Lane. Fame at last!

We really care about guest satisfaction. So how frustrating is it to get a review that says the shower is not warm enough and the lighting on the stairs not good enough? Do I have to spell it out that the temperature of the shower can be changed with the control, and that there are light switches on each floor?

Brilliant morning on York Minster crypt tour!
The first sculpture is a very well toned 19th century specimen; the second a 14th century thin fragile guy with a spade. We then have an Anglo-Saxon tombstone probably 8th century.
Finally a beautiful and very unusual mason’s mark ( probably French ie Norman). Oh, and a 21st century visitor!😎
