Built around five original Pullman-style railway carriages, The

Sidings invites you to dine, stay, and relax right beside the East Coast Main Line. Founded in 1985 by a former railwayman, The Sidings was born out of a passion for trains and a love for hospitality. Some of the carriages have been converted into a cosy, character-filled restaurant, with tables overlooking the track. Others have been transformed into charming guest rooms, including a luxurious four-poster suite โ€” perfect for a one-of-a-kind stay. Guests can also enjoy our monthly Greek Nights, held on the last Friday of every month. These popular evenings feature live Bouzouki music, a hot & cold buffet, traditional Greek desserts, and a fun, friendly atmosphere thatโ€™s perfect for celebrations or just a memorable night out.
