Built around five original Pullman-style railway carriages, The

Sidings invites you to dine, stay, and relax right beside the East Coast Main Line. Founded in 1985 by a former railwayman, The Sidings was born out of a passion for trains and a love for hospitality. Some of the carriages have been converted into a cosy, character-filled restaurant, with tables overlooking the track. Others have been transformed into charming guest rooms, including a luxurious four-poster suite โ€” perfect for a one-of-a-kind stay. Guests can also enjoy our monthly Greek Nights, held on the last Friday of every month. These popular evenings feature live Bouzouki music, a hot & cold buffet, traditional Greek desserts, and a fun, friendly atmosphere thatโ€™s perfect for celebrations or just a memorable night out. We're looking for someone confident in the kitchen who can work well as part of a busy team, maintain high standards and take pride in the food they send out.

You'll be helping us keep our unique railway carriage rooms and hotel looking their best, ready to welcome our next guests. We're looking for someone reliable, organised and with a great eye for detail.
