We are making a lot of cakes these days for our Café.

Chocolate cake has 3 layers with creamcheese frosting. Carrot and coffee cakes are 2 layers with buttercream.

We don't stop till we are totally happy with the recipes for each cake. Sometimes a bit of tweaking is required, other times we do our research on what's already on Internet and then bake and more baking......and more experimenting.

Today we are finally pleased with our Coffee Cake version number 3! This is it. Our amazing Coffee Cake with the most heavenly buttercream frosting.

Tony has been busy all day all night making this poster the last few days. It is to support and help publicise our application to pedestrianise Fossgate.

There will be a submission presentation to York Council at 3 pm this afternoon at Fossgate. We are expecting reporters and radio station people to be attending.

Freshly made hollandaise sauce for our Egg Royale this morning.

Tony has left us a lot of egg whites, I got to either make pandan cake or meringue soon.

After waiting for nearly 4 months for what should be a straight forward business purchase we finally got keys to our Cafe last night.

We like to thank the former owners Chris and Elaine for selling the business to us despite the estate agent trying to gazumped us.

Well now the hard work begins. We got to reconfigure and refit the place and set it out how we like it. I don't know how long it is going to take, we will have a better idea once our builder assess it next week.

This was the momentous handover. We officially own a Cafe in town on Fossgate
