Good morning everyone,

What a fantastic few days we are having - spring has sprung!

We would just like to say sorry we have not posted as much lately but we have been busy on site. Firstly, we would like to welcome Jason and Karen in to their new role as Managers. They are currently settling in and preparing for our first Bank Holiday weekend, Friday 18th April.

We are very busy that weekend but if you would like to join us, we have 3x grass pitches remaining.

Whatever you have planned this year, we hope you have a fabulous 2025 season.

Good afternoon everyone,

What a beautiful spring day. The vibrant colour of the daffodils and of course the "love" that these flowers spread is amazing.

Dare we hope that spring is here to stay?

Good afternoon everyone.

These pictures were taken this morning within 10 minutes of each other and look at the difference in the sky. One beautiful blue spring day, the daffodils looking gorgeous under the willow with it's small leaves starting to emerge. Then we have the cold wintery day with an angry stormy sky full of the dreaded wet stuff. Unfortunately at the moment what we have is the latter.
All that said, we have a dedicated angler hiding inside his bivvy, sheltering from the driving rain and bracing winds.

Paradise is paradise whatever the weather and nothing can beat the calming effect Lakeside has on you.

Good morning everyone and welcome to Monday and the start of another week.

We have a mixed bag of photographs for you to see, just like we have had a mixed bag of weather this last weekend! Saturday was absolutely glorious, we finally thought Spring had arrived it was wall to wall sunshine. Then, Sunday came and what a driech day that was, very wet and very windy.

Hopefully these pictures will make you smile. Glorious blue skies, which we are so ready for more of them. The snowdrops are carpeting the ground following the boundary of the Park and looking stunning. In some areas it is just a sea of white.

One of our anglers, Simon, whom was with us last weekend and decided to do a spot of fishing on the coldest of days caught this beauty. He was and rightly so rather chuffed with himself!

Remember to book your stay with us, the weeks are starting to fill up so you need to plan your stay soon.

For all the anglers out there the fishery opening times will change on the 1st March to 7am.

Stay safe.

LET THE SEASON BEGIN

Good afternoon everyone it's been a while!

The Caravan Park re-opens tomorrow, Monday 3rd February.

Tony and Liz have just got back from spending some time back up in the North East. Ali and Simon are starting to get themselves ready to rumble as they will be leaving us at the end of February to start touring again. It's all go here at Lakeside!

We have been busy with bookings so don't delay, give us a ring and get booked in.

Good afternoon everyone,

Not long now until Christmas and a visit from Santa. With the Caravan Park being closed this year over the festive period we wanted to send this post today. Don't forget the fishery is open for day tickets throughout.

We are pleased to say we have had a busy year, though it did not start well with having to cancel many Easter bookings due to the extremely wet weather. Let's hope that is not repeated in 2025!

Firstly, we would like to thank our volunteer wardens - Ian came to us at the end of May and was a huge help. He was with us for 3x months before he started his motorhome travels abroad.

We must also thank Jason. He is not a volunteer warden but one of our seasonal pitch holders. When he is here he always offers to help out and is more than happy to get his hands into some difficult groundworks when really he should be relaxing and enjoying a bit of fishing. Tony and Liz really do appreciate everything he does, though I don't think Liz is too happy that he has took ownership of her ride on mower!

Ali and Simon joined us at the end of August and will be staying with us until March 2025. For those of you who have already met them, I’m sure you will agree they are a lovely couple and they fit in so well. It will be sad to see them leave us, but again, they also have their plans of touring, and enjoying the freedom of motorhome living.

As most of you know there has been a lot of discussion about 2025 being Tony and Liz’s final year with us after 10 years. This is true, they will be leaving us though a definite date has not been decided. They have other commitments back up in the North East and they feel it is time to be with family and enjoy a slower pace of life. They have become a big part of Lakeside and we know they will miss it as much as they will be missed.

We also want to thank you, customers old and new. Thank you all for being such an important part of our success. We will be looking back with appreciation for your loyalty and looking forward to moving into the new year together.

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year.

Good afternoon everyone.

We hope your weekend is in full swing.

As you can see from the photographs, Naughty Elf has been to his works Christmas party and the park Gnomes were also there. They all had a most enjoyable evening!!!! Luckily, Ali and Simon managed to sort them out the following day.

Good morning everyone.

Naughty Elf has been out and about this past week getting into his usual mischief. He is all cabined up for today due to all what we have been hearing about storm Darragh, though we doubt it will hit us, we won't be telling naughty elf!

We did have strong winds, thunder and lightening on Thursday evening which rattled Liz and Tony's cabin and Simon and Ali said it wasn't to good in their motorhome either but they have been in worse storms!

Whatever the day brings it is still only 18 sleeps to Santa's arrival.

Whatever your plans this weekend, stay safe and enjoy.
