its many festivals is only 4 miles away where visitors can board the famous steam train for a scenic trip through the moors to the coastal port of Whitby. The quaint market towns of Kirkbymoorside (3 miles) and historic Helmsley (9 miles) offer a choice of shops, inns and teashops. The city of York `is less than an hours’ drive away (30 miles). The cottage sits adjacent to the owners’ home who operate a successful onsite micro bakery, where guests are welcome to purchase bread, eggs and seasonal produce . The cottage sleeps 4 – One double and one twin room. Cosy living room with a wood burning stove; kitchen with full amenities, enclosed private garden. Pets are welcome. No smoking.
