This house is yours for a minimum of 3 nights or £387 per stay. The house is a good size with 3 double bedrooms with king sized beds upstairs and a 4th bedroom downstairs with up to 2 single beds. You have access to the entire house inc AGA, washing machine and dishwasher. You have full access to the rear garden, which is not shared. Interaction with Guests
I am often travelling with work and recently relocated to Gloucester. My close friend Nicola oversees all bookings and changeovers with guests and will be available to help you during your stay. Nicola is from York and still lives in the city with her young family and will be able to provide advice on things to do, places to eat, etc. The Neighbourhood
The property is located 10-mins walk of the city walls and Gillygate, which has a variety of independent shops, restaurants, cafes and bistros and only 15-mins walk for the famous York Minster that lies in the heart of York City Centre. York is a renowned historical tourist destination, with a variety of shops, bars and restaurants plus tourist attractions such as the Shambles, York Minster, the Yorvik Viking Centre and the National Rail Museum. There is easy access to the surrounding countryside such as the North Yorkshire Moors and coast, Castle Howard and Beningborough Hall. Getting Around
There is good access to York City Centre with a frequent bus service or 10-min walk to Gillygate and the city walls. The city centre is a short 15-min walk. The nearby (2-min walk) frequent bus route takes you directly to/from York Station (which is otherwise a 25-min walk or a 5-min (traffic dependent) taxi ride. The bus route will also take you to various parts of the city centre. York has excellent rail links as it is a rail hub located on the East Coast Intercity line from London to Edinburgh and the transpennine route from Manchester (including a direct train from Manchester Airport), Leeds and more. The main cooker is an AGA (mains gas fuelled). If you prefer there are numerous restaurants, takeaways and shops within easy reach (there is a microwave too!). House Rules
Please respect the home as if it were your own. No smoking, although feel free to smoke in the garden and clean up after.
