⭐ COLOUR & LIGHT 2026 ⭐

York BID can now reveal that Colour & Light will return bigger than ever in February 2026 - illuminating York Castle Museum and Clifford’s Tower together for the very first time.

Every night from 4th-22nd February 2026, these two iconic landmarks will be transformed with a fully choreographed projection show.

From 6-9pm, the 10-minute show will run continuously on a loop, offering a magical after-dark moment for everyone. This a completely free event with no tickets required.

Colour & Light 2026 is proudly funded by David Skaith, Mayor of York & North Yorkshire, and the York & North Yorkshire Combined Authority.

We’re delighted to be partnering with York Castle Museum and Clifford's Tower to deliver Colour & Light 2026 - celebrating York’s status as the UK’s only UNESCO City of Media Arts.

Make sure you’re following us to be the first to hear more about this brilliant event!
