Trying something new for our lip balm making sessions; instead of tin pots these are 100% cardboard and make great fire lighters after use .
BUT they are Soooo messy to fill I will need to see if there is such a thing as a stainless steel pipette that I can keep warm and allow the mixture to more neatly go into the tubes .

I’m also excited to have deodorant sized cardboard tubes so watch this space !

I attended the Wild Beauty course with my sister and daughter in law. We all loved it. We learned a lot from Di and met other interesting ladies with similar values. I like that we take our own packed lunch and it's "no frills" but it's in such a lovely setting. I also really like having access to the online course so I can refer back to the information and have it there whenever I need it. Best of all, I love the products we made on the day and will definitely use them all. Highly recommend!

Midweek (and Sundays) sees us run private bookings … this week has seen the first of six archery lessons for a lovely lady who has booked our Archery GB Just Shoot Scheme (six graded sessions, the aim is to show improvement over time) . Then today a private wild food foraging walk for a couple bought as a gift by their daughter .

I loved the foraging walk, learning about foods we can find on our doorstep! Di shared ideas for how to prepare and eat the plants we were shown today, as well as some interesting medicinal uses too. It was inspiring and fascinating! Di has an engaging way of communicating to the group of all ages. As well as being able to see and feel the plants on our walk, I also enjoyed Di's descriptions and stories to bring to life and convey information about the plant, their historical uses and identifying characteristics - this added context, humour and insight. There are plants i come across all the time that I will now be viewing through different eyes. I feel more confident to make use of the edible parts and know I'm doing something beneficial for my health too.
