This photo popped up on my memories today ( the ones with the sheep in it) . It’s from 5 years ago today and “The beast from the East” had hit but the ewes were nice and cozy in the fold yard awaiting the arrival of their lambs. Fast forward 5 years and the other photo is what the same foldyard looks like now,it’s where we now host weddings. How things change!
After 23 years of doing B&B and hosting so many lovely people from all over the world I have decided to close the B&B and just concentrate on the accommodation for the weddings . It’s been a difficult and heart wrenching decision but things move on and change and it’s the right time now.
So thank you to all you lovely guests and followers.
Best wishes Caroline x

4 weeks today we can welcome guests back again to Cundall Lodge Farm B&B ,Hurray. We can’t wait to get back to some sense of “normality” .
We had a few hours off on Saturday afternoon and popped to Knaresborough for an ice cream, I had my favourite Brymor praline pecan delight ( well I had to hadn’t I ?!) . Knaresborough is often over looked as everyone tends to head to Harrogate ,it’s a lovely place to visit though. We had a walk around the ruined castle grounds and then down to the river for a look at the boats on the river.
Top tip -have a look at the Trompe l’oeil paintings on some of the blocked out “window tax “ windows ,a collection of public art works that are really worth hunting out.

You all know how much I love Farmstay, I’ve been a member of this independent rural accommodation marketing organisation for nearly 21 years! When David and I manage to get a break we always try to stay Farmstay and support rural businesses . Book with the owner, stay in lovely peaceful places that are characterful and unique . Our members are all looking forward to welcoming guests back when it’s safe to do so.
Some of you that have stayed at Cundall Lodge Farm might recognize some of the images on the photo carousel?
