There’s always something to see at the gravel pits. As many of you know, we still have eight cygnets, and one of last year’s cygnets just won’t leave.
He certainly keeps us all on our toes, especially watching Dad Swan chase him off time and time again. For those who have seen it, the power of a swan’s wings is incredible.
I finally managed to capture this young cygnet flying back in. Every time I see him, I can never get to my phone quickly enough, but this morning, while sitting outside with a coffee and enjoying the beautiful hot weather, I managed to get the shot.
If you’d like, I can also make it:

Hello friends,

It’s been a little while since I last posted, so I owe you all an apology! 🦢💙
For everyone who loves Floppy and the swans, I’ve got a little update for you.
Floppy is now 3 years old. As many of you know, she has a damaged wing so she can’t fly, but she can still mate and have babies.
Recently, the male swan has been showing a lot of interest in her… even though his partner is currently on the nest with 10 eggs!
There’s been lots of flirting going on: he no longer chases Floppy away, but cuddles up to her and even dances with her in the water.
I’m no wildlife expert, so I spoke to a professional, and he assured me this is completely normal behaviour. In nature, the “rules” are a bit different, and it’s not unusual for a male swan to seek some extra company while his mate is busy on the nest.
Thank you all for caring about Floppy and the swans – I’ll keep you posted on what happens next. 💫

Just happy and happy to share this beautiful review💋Thankyou Julie
