July, you’ve been pretty special 🧡
What a month it’s been. We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better start to this little adventure of ours.
July has been the month we welcomed our very first guest — something that felt like such a huge milestone after all the planning, dreaming, hard work and late nights. We’ve also had the pleasure of meeting some truly wonderful people along the way, which has made it all feel even more worthwhile.
We’ve also finished the Luma Dome ☺️ and enquiries and bookings are starting to flow, which is incredibly exciting. Seeing people choose our little corner of the countryside for their getaways is such a lovely feeling.
The meadow has been absolutely bursting with butterflies this month 🦋. I’ve spent many hours wandering around trying to chase them down with my camera… with varying degrees of success! But I’ve loved every minute of it.
And then there are the deer… 🦌
Our trail cameras have revealed that we have two sets of twin fawns living on site this year. We’ve been completely captivated watching them grow and explore, and we’ll be sharing some footage next week. Brace yourselves — they are beyond cute.
Most of all, as a family, we’ve really enjoyed slowing down and spending so much more time outdoors. Walking the countryside, exploring the meadow, watching the wildlife and simply enjoying this beautiful place we’re lucky enough to call home.
It feels like we’re only just getting started, but July has already given us so many memories to treasure.
